The girl was considered a witch, and banished together with his family from the village. A girl born with a very rare disease, was forced to hide from people and be an outcast all nine years of his life, because the neighbors called her a monster and a witch.
My father told me about how his daughter avoided the society of other children, because she was born with a rare condition which left half her face was covered in thick black hair. Superstitious villagers called the Bhavan Tami, who is now nine years old, «the beast». The reason for this was her rare disease. And because of his village, which is located in the district of Dolakha, 345 kilometers from Kathmandu, in Nepal, the girl almost did not walk.
Hair not her face grew due to a rare disease, which without timely treatment, can become malignant. However, to explain to the villagers that the girl’s parents could not. Without exception, all the villagers were sure that a child with such a person, or a witch, or some spawn of evil. The village Council took the decision to isolate the family from society, after which they were deported to the borders of the settlement.
Trying to protect his daughter, the father, whose name is Kaluman, not allowed her daughter to look in the mirror, but one day in the village was a journalist who photographed the girl and then showed her the photo, bringing the eight-year-old has experienced a horrible disgust, fear and shock.
Bhavana recently suffered a plastic surgery procedure gives hope to her and her father that they will again be able to return to normal life. The first operation was conducted in Kathmandu with the support of organizations helping children in Nepal last year.
A year later the girl had a second surgery in which hair from her face was removed completely. However, the girl yet, at least one operation that surgeons will hold after the Bhavan turns 14 years old.
After the girl made the operation, the villagers took back her father and now she plays with the other children. Life Bhavana changing every day since her first operation. Currently, she is attending school and leads the same life as all the children in her village.
